Etiology

  • Bronchiectasis
  • Thermal injury
  • Foreign body

Pathogenesis

  • Benign endobronchial tumor that occurs due to chronic irritation

Diagnosis

  • FOB: usually a solitary polypoid mass of exuberant granulation tissue

Clinical

  • Airway Obstruction (see [[Obstructive Lung Disease]]): atelectasis/post-obstructive pneumonia

Treatment

  • Bronchoscopic removal
  • Antibiotics: as needed
