Clinical Features of Byssinosis Which Differentiate It From Occupational Asthma

  • No sensitization is required
  • Most exposed workers are affected
  • Symptoms improve with continued exposure
  • Eosinophilia is absent
  • May result in progression toward non-reversible airway obstruction
